Mr. & Mrs. Gassmann are the first German residents in our wonderful Arcos Gardens residential community. Klaus and Uta first visited Arcos Gardens three months ago and they fell in love with the setting, which combines the tranquillity of the area with a strategic location, and an exceptional golf course surrounded by thousands of olive trees. They are a lovely family wishing to move here shortly to enjoy all our facilities. We are expecting to receive many German visitors in the near future because they are recommending Arcos Gardens to all their friends and partners as they are experiencing something really different.

A group of 32 golfers from the American Military Base of Rota visited Arcos Gardens on the 21st of June. Once again it was a pleasure to welcome them.
They enjoyed a marvellous sunny day of golf, offering always to us the best of their smiles.

Arcos Gardens is happy to see them again.

The gala dinner on 17th May at the Warner Studios in Hollywood was a wonderful success, raising a total of US$ 1,603,877 for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a new record.
The extraordinary annual collection of some of California's leading wineries and the world's top celebrity chefs is helping to lead the fight against cystic fibrosis. Over the past 18 years, the Culinary Evening with the California Winemasters has raised nearly $16 million for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

On the 14th May, the II Edition of the Circuito de Golf de Cadiz was held at Arcos Gardens with Linksport as the main organizer.
The players enjoyed a marvelous day in spite of the warm weather. The Prize Giving counted with a big number of gifts for almost all the players.

David Dixon representing Arcos Gardens captured his first European Tour title at the 108th attempt at the Saint-Omer Open in France. With a round of 66 shots (-5) on the final day Dixon managed to capture the win one shot ahead of Christian Nilsson (Sweden). For the win David receives 100 000€ in his bank account.

From Arcos Gardens we would like to congratulate David for his first win and we wish him best of luck for the rest of the season!! Go David!!

Last Sunday June the 8th was held in Arcos Gardens the II Social Club Tournament “Bahia de Algeciras”, sponsored by Kia Motor Trasur, S.A.
Arcos Gardens had the pleasure to welcome to the 99 golfers on a wonderful golf day.
The Tournament started with a shotgun at 9:40 a.m., ending with the following winners:

SECOND CATEGORY
First Prize: Francisco Periales Fernández, 42 points

We thank their participation to all golfers, as well as to the Club Bahia de Algeciras, and we hope to see them next year at Arcos Gardens.

On the 30th May, Arcos Gardens hosted La Luz Tournament, with aproximately 50 golfers wanting to enjoy a fun and wonderful day of golf.

The last 23rd May Arcos Gardens hosted the II Tournament La Ser- Iberdrola, a large event consisting on many people and several members of our Club.

For the non golfers an interesting Clinic was prepared in the Driving Range, counting also with trophies.

A marvelous barbecue in the gardens of our Restaurant was waiting both the golfers and guests.

Alberto Yarte del Toro, territorial Director of Recyclable Energy of Iberdrola in Extremadura closed the event with the Price Giving.
Iñigo Muñoz Ybarra was the winner of the first prize with 39. Josefa Caro, Mayoress of Arcos de la Frontera and the Director of the Town Planning , Joaquín Macías gave him the prize.

The team of Arcos Gardens want to congratulate the winners.

The 15th of May surprises us with a spectacular view of a solar halo covering almost the whole extension of the patio.

The solar halo is conditioned by light refraction and light reflection of solar light when crashing with drops of water or, masses of cold air containing particles of ice.

Nicola Roessler and Ana Arrese will tee-off tomorrow at 09:00 in the final of Arcos Gardens Junior Ladies International. Both of them managed to win their two matches this windy Saturday in Arcos Gardens. In the afternons semifinals Nicola Roessler beat Scherer with 4/2 and in the other semi-final Ana Arrese beat Fernandez with 6/4. Both finalists have shown a lot of strength during these days in Arcos Gardens and we wish them both best of luck in tomorrows final!! Suerte!

During the second round of the strokeplay event Nerea Salaverría signed her scorecard which showed 67 strokes. This amazing score is a new course record at Arcos Gardens from the blue tee.

Anna Arrese is leading in the first round with a fantastic score of 70 (2 under par). Followed by two more Spanish ones, Ana Fernandez de Mesa (71) and Nerea Salaverria (72)

In the second round that is going to be celebrated tomorrow, 32 ladies will be classified to the final Match Play.
