On the 24th of August, Arcos Gardens had the pleasure to host the second edition of the Friends of the Golden Eagle Foundation Charity Tournament.
The format for the tournament was four ball better ball in pairs for a total of 12 couples, all of them seamed to enjoyed the day at Arcos Gardens. The celebration of the prize giving was followed by a prize draw with plenty of gifts.
We want to thank the Foundation and all the participants for once again choosing our facilities for their annual tournament

August 21st, last tournament of the 2010 Summer Tour of Arcos Gardens.
Federópticos Chapin, has sponsored the last tournament of the tour and therefore closed the tournament circuit that Arcos Gardens has prepared for the summer months.

During the last Monday, 16th of August, Arcos Gardens had the honour of receiving the visit of the skier Blanca Fernández Ochoa, with the company of brothers, sisters and friends.

Blanca is the first Spanish ladie with an Olympic medal in the Winter Olympic Games, specifically the bronze medal of giant slalom in the Winter Olympic Games of Albertville, 1992.
All of them played 18 holes and enjoyed a pleasant lunch in our Club House.

They where pleased of being in Arcos Gardens, showing a great interest in repeating the experience.

Our team will be pleased of receiving them again!

Regulations: The player who gathers the highest number of points from two of the tournaments of AG Summer Tour 2010 is the winner of the order of merit (only for players of 1st & 2nd category), if two players gather the same number of points then the player that had the lowest exact handicap when entering his/her first tournament from the Tour wins.
Prize: 2 nights of accommodation in our beautiful Cortijo Faín and 2 days of Golf & Buggy unlimited (valid until 31st August 2011).

A hot day of August has made the third tournament of the Tour of Arcos Gardens Summer 2010 a bit tough but a successful event. This tournament has been sponsored by La Galeria, a company formed by a group of professionals with recognized experience in kitchen design, interior design and renovation. Arcos Gardens were pesent in one of the most important golf events in the European Tour celebrated at Bro Hof Slott Golf Course in Sweden from July 22nd to the 25th.
Richard Johnson of Sweden won the Scandinavian Masters on Sunday, making a 30-foot birdie putt at the last hole to shoot a 1-under 71 and finish a stroke clear of Rafa Echenique of Argentina. Johnson who shared the overnight lead with South Korea's K.J. Choi, finished with a total of 11-under 277 at Stockolm's Bro Hof Slott

British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen (73) was tied for fourth place with Brett Rumford of Australia (69) and New Zealand's Mark Brown (71). Choi had dropped out of contention after shooting two double bogeys in a 78.
Echenique replaced Johnson as leader after making birdies at the 12th and 13th holes. The two were tied again at the 18th before Johnson holed his 30-foot put to win his second European Tour title. Echenique was very disappointed because he played really well, but that's golf.
Arcos Gardens had the opportinuty to meet many visitors at our stand as Swedish golfers know very well that the Swedish Golf Federation have chosen our golf course as the official Winter Training Facility. As a result of our participation, we had many bookings for the next season. At the end of the golf event , we made a draw to win a Callaway golf bag. The winner's name will be published in the next Newsletter.

Arcos Gardens were present recently at the London EPEX 2010 at the Brompton Hall in Earl's Court Exhibition Centre and the project proved very popular, with several clients due to visit the resort in the coming months.

The show is unique in the world of property exhibitions and are the only exhibitions of their kind to focus solely on truly luxury property.
