The player, Ainhoa Olarra (Donosita) has managed her first individual victory at a national level, after taking on the golf course Arcos Gardens (Cádiz) in the First Ladies National Puntuable Ranking Competition in 2010, the first golfing amateur competition on the calendar of 2010.
The importance of her victory is how she has won, fighting against the pressure of very experienced players who aspired to beat her in the last round of the competition. The day started with 61 players after the qualifying cut that followed the first 36 holes, with Ainhoa Olarra in head after her meritful round of 71 shots (1 below par), which gave her the chance to overtake the initial leader Luna Sobrón (Balearic Islands).
The weather conditions have heavily affected this competition, delaying tee off times and forcing local player Belen Mozo to retire, one of the biggest names in the competition.
