CIRCUITO DE GOLF CADIZ- LINKSPORT 2009 AT ARCOS GARDENS

The 20th of June saw Arcos Gardens hosting the Circuito de Golf de Cadiz tournament with Linksport as the main organizer. This is the third year that the tournament is played at Arcos Gardens and the 80 players have very much enjoyed the day as usual.

The Prize Giving has counted with a big number of gifts for almost all the players.

1st CATEGORY (MEN)
1st Prize: Gonzalo Rey with 39 points.
2nd Prize: Ignacio Valdés with 36 points.

2nd CATEGORY (MEN):
1st Prize: Máximo Quintero with 38 points.
2nd Prize: Rafael Cabezas with 36 points.

3rd CATEGORY (MEN):
1st Prize: Rafael Aguilar with 36 points.
2nd Prize: Miguel Cano with 34 points.

LADIES CATEGORY:
1st Prize: Concepción García with 37 points.
2nd Prize: Teresa Sánchez with 34 points.

Xerez Football Club will be playing their trade in the Premier League next season

Xerez will be mixing it among the elite for the first time in their history. On their 62 years of life this will be the first time to be part of this internationally well known league.
With one more round of the Spanish 2º Division left to be played next week, the three teams that will go up to the "LIGA" - 1º Division next season have been decided this afternoon. They are Xerez (Jerez), Tenerife & Real Zaragoza. Xerez defeated 2-1 Huesca to secure their 3º spot, with Hercules missing out. The top three in the Segunda Division will replace Recreativo Huelva, Numancia and Real Betis in the Primera Liga.
Congratulations to Esteban Vigo. With his knowlege, perseverence and his team´s hard work they have made history.

ARCOS LEGENDS 2009 – MATCH PLAY

It has been an honor for Arcos Gardens to host this last weekend of May the First Edition of “Arcos Legends” Tournament. In this Tournament the teams of Madrid and Andalusia had a Match Play competition in which Andalusia clinched the victory and the Arcos Legends Trophy with a score of 3-2.

After the tournament, players and guests enjoyed a evening cocktail next to the pool and a fantastic dinner which ended with the price ceremony and a flamenco show in our singular patio of the Cortijo.

We thank everybody for participating and we will see you in Arcos Gardens next year in the Second Edition of the now popular “Arcos Legends”.
