ARCOS GARDENS IN THE BMW PGA CHAMPIONSHIP AT WENTWORTH

BMW Wentworth 09 (19).JPG

Arcos Gardens was present in one of the most important golf events in Europe, celebrated in Wentworth Club, Surrey from May 21-24, 2009. The BMW PGA Championship combines the prestige, tradition and excitement of The European Tour’s flagship event.

Some of golf’s biggest names have descended on the Surrey venue’s famous West Course to compete for the title won last year by the Spanish Miguel Angel Jiménez, who defeated Ryder Cup team mate Oliver Wilson with a birdie on the second hole of a sudden-death play-off.

The winner of the BMW PGA Championship 2009, the English Paul Casey held off his countryman Ross Fisher after a glorious end to a glorious day's golf. A seven-foot putt on the 72nd was good enough to give the Englishman a one-shot victory and lift him to No3 in the world rankings.
