UBS TOURNAMENT 2009 AT ARCOS GARDENS

UBS chose Arcos Gardens as the venue to host their 2009 tournament. A sunny day followed a cloudy morning, allowing the players to enjoy a perfect day of golf.

An original Scramble Doubles format choosen by UBS surprised their guests.

DAVID DIXON WARMS UP FOR SEVILLE

Arcos Gardens tournament professional David Dixon spent the last three days preparing for the Andalucian Open played this week at the Real club de Sevilla course. David was here with his new caddie Shaun (pictured left) as well as his golf coach and sports coach.

David will be supporting our logo on his bag and for the near future he will be wearing an Arcos Gardens cap.
If you attend the tournament please give David your support and watch him for a few holes.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. PIPER FOR HIS HOLE IN ONE

Last Thursday, 12th of March, Mr. Geoff Piper, resident member of Arcos Gardens made a spectacular Hole in one in the 2nd hole from the white tee.

We are very proud to announce that Mr. Piper is the first member on achieving a hole in one in our course.

NEW VISIT OF THE EGU "A SQUAD" AT ARCOS GARDENS

The familiar “A Squad” team visited Arcos Gardens during the first week of March. During their stay we have enjoyed of the technical quality of the team whose players have proved to have excellent abilities and skills which is showed in the national results.

Congratulations Billy Hemstock and Miles Mackman for their great position in the ranking.

We hope to see them soon again and wish the best of lucks!


ENGLISH GOLF UNION ELITE GROUP AT ARCOS GARDENS

One more time, the EGU elite group has chosen Arcos Gardens as the training venue for their teams. They have been training along the first week of March in order to prepare themselves for the “European Nations” at Sotogrande Golf Club on 25th-28th March.

Dale Whitnell and Luke Goddard deserve a special mention; they were the winners of the International Cup celebrated in Portugal and Argentina respectively.

It is an honor for Arcos Gardens to host such a good players!

ARCOS GARDENS AT AMSTERDAM GOLF 2009 EXHIBITION 6th-8th March

Arcos Gardens actively participated in one of the biggest indoor golf event in the Benelux at the RAI. From the 6th to 8th of March 2009, Amsterdam Golf, the largest indoor golf event in the Netherlands, has demonstrated spectacular innovation in range of top-class exhibitors, lively entertainments and numerous original golf activities.More than hundred exhibitors presented an interesting range of products to the enthusiast visitors who really liked to test and buy here.

The trick- and fashion shows at the Arena were highly appreciated by all ages. From young to elder, from starter to professional, many played for the 27 meters long putt, the Hole-in-One and the Longest Drive and some won nice golf prizes. The major improvement will be in the large increase in the number of high-quality shops participating at the exhibition. In addition to Golf Plaza, a host of other providers of equipment, accessories and clothing will be displaying their products. Exciting shopping were ensured, and visitor were in the right place at the right time to benefit from the many attractive offers available - especially for fabulous golfing destinations and smart real estate opportunities. Almost 11.000 visitors came to the RAI venue to enjoy a day out full of golf. From the positive feedback from visitors, exhibitors and professionals we learned again that Amsterdam Golf turns to be a good tradition at the start of a new golfing season.

II COMPETITION OF THE XII CIRCUITO SENIORS DE ANDALUCIA, GRAN PREMIO UNICAJA AT ARCOS GARDENS

This second tournament of the XII Circuito Seniors of Andalucia, Gran Premio Unicaja was celebrated at Arcos Gardens last Saturday, 28th February, an important day and Bank Holiday for Andalusian people.
In spite of the bad forecast, almost 80 brave golfers started the game at 9:30 with a shotgum. The weather was not so bad after all what made the players quite happy. After the game they could taste a traditional berza which was followed by the prize giving. Congratulations to the winners!

2nd Place- Marisol Nacher Calvete - 34 points.
3rd Place- Mª Angeles Cordones Ramirez- 33 points.

2nd Place- Cristobal Peña Jimenez - 35 points.
3rd Place- John Robilliard - 34 points.

2nd Men Category
1st Place- Francisco Malpartida Galán - 39 points.
2nd Place- Felipe Luna González - 36 points.
3rd Place- Rafael Cabezas Guerrero - 32 points.
