Maria Torrens, Milagros Yanes y Cristina Marsans have contributed to get the first Spanish triumph since 8 years. This trio signed a great debut in Arcos Gardens , which torromow will crown as winner to one of the participants in one of the most important tournaments in the European Senior calendar.

In a very beautiful day in Arcos Gardens, Maria Torrens from Canary Islands, with the Canadian Diane Williams, were on top of the ranking with 75 shots. Only with one shot deference Milagros Yanes (Barcelona) and Cristina Marsans (Madrid).

As well, an interesting wide range of Spanish players are close to get the first position: Carmen Maestre and Ana Vilella, with 77 shots on their debut, Pía Allende and the two times winner Vicky Pertierra, with 78. The Swedish Christina Birke, winner in the Individual in 2005, she just won the Doubles together with her compatriot Anki Hermansson, who is another menace for the hypothetical Spanish triumph.

RESULTS:

1.- Diane Williams (CAN) 75
2.- María Torrens (SPA) 75
3.- Milagros Yanes (SPA) 76
4.- Cristina Marsans (SPA) 76
5.- Cornelia Schmidt-Stützle (GER) 76
