FOTO%20TORNEO[1].jpg

The Finnish player, Minna Kaarnalahti spoiled the opportunity for Marta Estany to become the first Spanish player in eight years to hold the title, Spanish Senior Female Individual Champion. The Catalonian player, had a great recovery in the second round and had the opportunity of going all the way, but the Nordic player did not hand over the triumph.

Minna Kaarnalahti, who teed up in the tournament with the second best handicap of all 70 competitors, (1.4), she showed her quality in the second round, by shooting a round of 73 (4 shots better than her first round), which gives the total score of 150 shots, which turned to be enough to capture the win.

At the same time, Marta Estany was unfortunate during the first round, she spoiled her chances to bring the title back to Spain. Her 80 hits in the first day were forgotten thanks to the 72 shots she got in the second day, the best score collected during the two days of the competition.

Marta Estany were not able to beat Minna Kaarnalahti but she got the second position with 152 hits and thereby also the best Spanish player in tournament.

RESULTS:
1- Minna Kaarlahti (Fin) 150 (77 + 73)
2- Marta Estany (Spa) 152 (80 + 72)
3- Diane Williams (Can) 153 (75 + 78)
