Arcos Gardens celebrated for the first year the Arcos Gardens Amateur Challenge. Players from the Nordic nations were invited to this Amateur event which was organized together with the Swedish Golf Federation. Below results from top three in the boys category and from the winner in the girls category, the competition was played over three rounds from 3rd to 5th of January 2009-

Boys Category
1st Place- Juho Vesanen Finland 81+78+69=228 Winner after play-off
2nd Place- Oscar Nilsson Sweden 74+81+73=228
3rd Place- Jussi Sahravou Finland 81+72+76=229

Girls Category
1st Place- Do Palmgren Sweden 84+80+79=243

Arcos Gardens will expand this competition for the next year by inviting players from more nations. A big thanks to all players that participated in the event and to Swedish Golf Federation which played a key role in the orgnisation of the event. Finally and most importantly - Congratulations to the two winners Juha and Do for winning the first Arcos Gardens Amateur Challenge event!
