holes6&7.jpg
Steve was here for a week taking some wonderful shots of the estate and the course. We are impressed with his work as he was with our project! We look forward to the final shots. Thanks Steve.

Fairway Gardens show flat ready at the beginning of October

d4showflat.JPG
The Arcos Gardensmarketing team spent the morning examing the progress of the show flat in Fairway Gardens townhouse community. The team were very impressed with the size of the rooms and the natural light entering from the large windows within the entire property. Great views of the golf course can be seen from all rooms, especially the overhanging bath on suite to the master bedroom.

Arcos Gardens Scorecard Photograph

Steve Uzells's new photograph of the 16th green with Hotel Cortijo Faín and Arcos de la Frontera in the distance is the perfect signature photograph for Director of Golf, Ashley Northridge's scorecard. Symbolic of the peace and history of the area. Golf entwined with nature and history - just as we like it.

Arcos Gardens Information Centre

Arcos Gardens Information Centre's surrounding landscaping base has been installed, with state of the art irrigation, and quality turf, flowers and trees planted. We look forward to receiving all friends and guests to our lovely offices.

Arcos Gardens Practice Range

Practice Range.jpg
One of the largest in Europe, with two playing areas at each end of the range, multiple targets, pitch and putting areas, all with different grasses to mirror the surfaces on the world tour. For amateurs of all levels and pros alike this is a marvel of a golf practice range, and with the tranquil surroundings of the nearby Cadiz rolling country, any player will feel totally relaxed practicing his or her golf.

Beautiful Aerial Shots of Arcos Gardens Golf Club & Country Estate

A friend of our construction manager, Ewan Mahoney, was up in his plane over the week-end flying above Arcos and took some inspirational pictures of the community here amidst the stunning countryside of Cádiz.

Arcos Gardens rough gets pretty

SU_060517_6601.jpg
It may not be the best place to have played your ball, but at least it looks good. Congrats to Maria Luz, and John's team for all the hard work planting the wonderful poppies we had this year.

Road between Zahara and Grazalema

Best road Z-G LR.jpg

Stunning views from the road as you drive between Zahara and Grazalema, some of the prettiest villages in rural Cádiz. You can reach the road on the way into Grazalema from El Bosque. 2 km outside the village is the turning on the left.

Rolling hills of Alcornocales

Alcornocales LR.jpg

A good scenic drive is between Algar and Ubrique through the natural park of Alcornocales. Go past Algar and at the end of this road take a left and follow this for an hour until you arrive at one of Spain's capital of leather manufacturing, Ubrique. Overall from Arcos Gardens, takes about 2 hours and there are stunning views and a wonderful Venta at the Jimena turning for refreshment.

Atmospheric Practice Range at Sunset

AG practice range LR.jpg

Congrats to Jon Wallace on his team. The golf practice range looks as good as the best on the continent and gives all players the tranquility required for that extra concentration....see you there!

11th Green from Under an Olive Tree

11th AG green LR.jpg

The 11th was meant to be one of the lesser attractive of the 18 at Arcos Gardens. I challenge anyone to say so after this view from behind the green. Every hole has its natural beauty.

On the Summit of Torreon Sierra de Grazalema

Grazalema Torreon LR.jpg

At 1700 metres above sea level is el Torreon in the middle of one of the most scenic natural parks in Spain, Sierra de Grazalema. A full moon and beautiful sunrise was worth the hike and the cold night! You can reach the summit of the highest mountain in the Sierra from the road between Benahoma and Grazalema. You have to pass Benahoma and as you do you will pass a camping on your left. Keep going until you reach a shaded parking area on your right. The path is on your left, and the walk takes 3 hours.

Sunset on Bolonia Beach

Bolonia beach sunset LR.jpg

For beach lovers, windsurfers and those looking for tranquility, there are few better beaches on the Costa de la Luz than Bolonia.

Fairway Gardens Update

FG 09.06.06 LR.jpg

We are now into the 6th month of construction of the Fairway Gardens development. The roof and the outer brick skin to the show flat has been built. We are working towards the schedule of opening the show flat in the middle of October. The townhouse will be fully furnished by one of our choice interior designers and all fittings and options will be visible for all the clients to see

At present we are working to the construction programme and barring any hiccups the development will be finished on time. Roofing to five blocks is now complete and we are now heavily concentrating on the brickwork. The works are inspected daily by the construction team and the quality of workmanship is being kept to a maximum.

Construction on the Swedish Federation’s villa was started on the 15th of May and already the foundations have been poured.
The urbanisation works are still in progress and are on schedule for the first phase to be completed by the end of the year. Works have commenced on t he water deposit and the main water supply and will be operational by October this year.

In September/October we will start construction on the Villas in Grazalema and clients could be living in their luxury houses by December 2008.

Arcos Gardens Concierge Services in operation

F.Boza LR.jpg

Arcos Gardens Concierge Services received good news last week with the formal appointment of Francisco Boza as Logistics Manager.

Francisco will be in charge of all client liaison and itineraries, and will report into Head of Marketing Paul Jessup. The team will grow over the course of the next few months with an anticipated hiring of chauffeur and team assistant to assist all visiting clients with their needs and help establish the systems and processes required to deliver the levels of service for residents from June onwards next year.
The service will be especially important for clients wanting to feel part of the real Spanish community quickly, as Francisco explains: "The real Spain here in the heart of Andalucia, rural Cadiz, has limitless possibilities for incredible experiences the existing tourist destinations simply do not offer. The current problem is that they are quite inaccessible to people who do not know the area. AGCS is all about uncovering these hidden gems to allow
clients to feel part of this real Spain, and doing it in an effortless, but caring way." Francisco knows all about serving high end customers after a couple of years experience working in a busy high end London restaurant
before he returned home to Seville with his English wife and young kids. "I feel it is my duty," explains Francisco "to strive for excellence in all areas of the services we offer here at Arcos Gardens." We welcome Francisco (Kiki to many of his friends) back to his homeland and have no doubt that
his quest for excellence will be realised. Francisico will share his time between onsite his responsibilities with CEO Fernando More-Figueroa.
