The Swedish Golf Federation play their first round at Arcos Gardens Golf Club & Country Estate
To celebrate having nine holes now ready for play, Director of Golf, Ashley Northridge recently welcomed Board Members and Associates of the Swedish Golf Federation to Arcos Gardens Golf Club & Country Estate. After welcome drinks and snacks in the tapas lounge, the visitors were given a brief tour of the newly renovated Hotel Cortijo Faín and temporary clubhouse area, and then introduced to some of the main features of the golf course and training facilities, including plans for an extensive junior golf programme.

After a four course lunch, the Swedish visitors were keen to play their much anticipated first round at Arcos Gardens, which will soon become the official base for their Winter training programme. With clear blue skies, most players elected to walk the course, which will open to the public later this year. Playing off the white tees, the back nine proved a difficult challenge and the greens too quick for some, but not for Per Adler and his team, who came in with the highest combined Stableford score to win some much prized Arcos Gardens golf shirts!
